Ahoy Mateys! This episode we talk about officiating marriages, we read from the Unified Spaghetti Theory and how FSM created us in his ideal image (that of a pirate), and we also share our views on religious equality and FSMism being recognized.
When talking about Jewish holidays I meant Yom Kippur, not Rosh Hashanah as the “biggest” of their faith’s celebrations.
I had an opportunity to talk to Obi Canuel, a Canadian ordained minister in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster a few days ago, and it was a very enlightening conversation.
Obi, following in the footsteps of Pastafarians around the world wanted to have his drivers license photo taken with his pasta strainer upon his head, and as a result, ultimately was denied. He has been using public transport since October of 2014, and continues his battle for religious freedom.
In the interview, we chat about his candidacy for Surrey city council, his experiences as a Pastafarian minister, and the individuals right to express religious expression even when authority oversteps its bounds.
Ahoy mateys, episode #6 of the Flying Spaghetti Monster podcast is live! This episode I have my buddy Mitch from the GameZoneRadio podcast join the show, and we talk about religions of the world, and I do some light ministry by telling him about the benefits of FSMism and living with his noodly touch.
We touch on Eastern Vs Western religions, life after death, and seeking out the meaning in life; normally super heavy stuff, but we keep the tone light, and have a lot of fun with it.
I’m scratching mosquito bites as I type out these few paragraphs, and it’s really annoying, but it’s far less annoying than the message delivered to me from the two very nice Jehovah’s witness ladies that I held my door open to for 10 minutes today.
This podcast contains a cellphone recording of my conversation with them today. They visited me about 11am, and I greeted them with my FSM ordination document, and asked them if they had a moment to speak about my lord and personal savior, the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
We talked about women in the eyes of biblical god, slavery, Noah’s ark, and evolution; great stuff, enjoy. =)
This one was super fun to record, and the first time I had some audio clips for content. The show starts with a brief review of Time Bandits IMDB, is followed by a reading of an anti-Flying Spaghetti Monster article on a religious blog, and ends with audio from Robert Barron and a voicemail. Sorry for saying “Evolutionism”, I meant “Evolution”. R’Amen
p.s. I am aware that of this group of talented actors deserve the respect of being referred to as “little persons”. Sometimes I get excited in the rhythm of recording spoken word. =)
Hey! It’s the second episode of The Flying Spaghetti Monster podcast! This week we have 3 guests and we play the first Interfaith Cards Against Humanity, have a ton of laughs, and swear way too much. I totally wanted this podcast to be a little cleaner in the language department, but when you bring out the CAH boxes, it’s game over man, game over.
Next episode we will talk about FSM and Pastafarianism in pop culture and movies and more voicemails and emails.
May 9th, 2014. The Flying Spaghetti Monster podcast episode 001 is live! R’amen! The day has finally arrived! There’s not much to the show, it’s a short one, but I guarantee, the noodles have just started boiling.
Give it a listen. Give me some feedback. We will be back with episode 002 in two weeks.
